Wacana Pendidikan bagi Anak di Tabloid Koran Anak

The research aims to examine the discourse of education for children and its relation between subjects in six articles of Koran Anak (KA), second edition, May 2011, by the theme of National Education Day. Koran Anak intended to media for children protection that informs about social children problems, one of them is education problem in NTB. Corpus has been selected then analyzed using critical discourse method by Norman Fairclough and thus found that: KA present the discourse of nationalism within education. Although the discourse of nationalism that required since the early age for children tends too insufficient. Nationalism was only introduced through attributes in student uniform only. Within its articles, KA also presented religious education in child education in NTB. Religious education presented only has Islamic education given to society when they are experiencing social and economic problems. Beside those, KA also presents about friendly education for children as one who are only talked about. From these explanations, finally KA presents about children not as a single subject, but they represents through social classes within society which tend to be a passive subject when paired with grown-ups. Grown-ups figures represents as role models for children that always open the future doors for child in order to spared from social and economic problems. In contrary, grown-ups cannot free from the bond of gender biased when they presented as role models. Woman always shows as man partner and never been positioned as role model for children. Then, children future that shown by KA still talked about profession which obligate for children to be a pillar for their country.
